More than just a hospital

In all its fields of activity, Wiener Privatklinik makes every effort to provide BETTER services than conventional hospitals, in order to ensure the best possible medical care for its patients.

Total Quality Hospital

Wiener Privatklinik is operated in accordance with the Total Quality Hospital Management (TQH) guidelines. The main principle of the TQH philosophy is not to content oneself with the achieved standards, but to continue to take new and innovative steps, particularly in the field of quality management. In line with its Total Quality Hospital philosophy, Wiener Privatklinik has had its whole nursing department certified according to the internationally acknowledged ISO 9001:2000 standard. After many years of hard work in the field of quality management, the ISO certificate was awarded in September 2003 by the TÜV CERT certification office of TÜV Austria.

The Scientific Board – the scientific advisory council

Quality assurance in the sphere of medicine, quality control and compliance with the latest standards in the treatment of patients are guaranteed by the Scientific Board of Wiener Privatklinik. This is an independent scientific advisory council which is composed of ten professors of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Vienna.

Training and further training at the Nursing Dialogue Academy

The hospital’s in-house Nursing Dialogue Academy (NDA) ensures that health care and nursing care are provided on the highest professional level. The NDA also trains members of the nursing staff of numerous other hospitals.

The Forum for Private Medicine ensures further training for doctors

Every year, Wiener Privatklinik organises several symposiums on various medical topics as a special training service for doctors. The Forum for Private Medicine is acknowledged as an official series of training events by the Austrian Medical Chamber.
