Universal Treatment Concept

The MILLESI CENTER at Wiener Privatklinik offers a universal concept in the treatment of peripheral nerve injuries, pain syndromes and nerve reconstructions, including nerve transplantations.

It has become evident in the last few years that the best results are achieved then when the brain, the central nervous system, the peripheral nerves as well as the muscular system are viewed as a functional unit within the therapy. Whilst it used to be satisfactory that e.g. the bending of an elbow joint could be achieved on an arm that was completely paralyzed after an accident, the aim nowadays is the recovery of complex, targeted movements in severe cases as well. This can however only be achieved if the paralyzed muscles, but most of all the brain are included in the therapeutic efforts.

In the MILLESI CENTER the patients are supported by an interdisciplinary team of the best specialists from the diagnosis through the surgical treatment up to the neurorehabilitation. By conducting continuous research on the subject, the MILLESI CENTER offers its patients treatment methods of the latest international scientific state of the art.

    - Arthrolysis (mobilization of joint adhesions)

    - Tenolysis (mobilization of ligament adhesions)

    - Articular fusions for improvement of general
      functioning

    - Reconstruction by skin grafting and tissue transfer (gliding tissue flaps)
